Britney Spears filed a police report in Las Vegas, alleging a member of Spurs security hit her after approaching Victor Wembanyama.
At the “Catch” restaurant in the ARIA Hotel, Britney Spears allegedly approached Victor Wembanyama but was allegedly hit by Damian Smith, director of Spurs security, knocking off her glasses.
TMZ reported that after the incident, Britney Spears returned to her table, where the security guard apologized, citing being swarmed by fans. Spears accepted the apology, and her security detail spoke with the Spurs’ guards before they separated.
Britney Spears reportedly filed a non-criminal police report for battery in Las Vegas following the incident, as the security guard’s actions were seen as protective of Wembanyama rather than intended to harm Spears.
The incident raises questions about the security guard’s response as striking someone shouldn’t be the initial reaction, even if they feel overwhelmed by fans approaching. Thankfully, no one was injured.
At present, there is no video footage of the incident; however, it is anticipated that there may be footage available from the ARIA Hotel. Further updates on this story will be provided as they emerge.
